This looks like a poster for a mediocre bro comedy. Starring Onho as obnoxious roommates, Key as the sassy gay friend with an impressive career, and Jongtae as the annoying neighbors that will never leave your apartment and drink all your beer.
DEAR GOD THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE
Right now on Korean websites, there are antis who are pretending to be exo members or exo fans writing bad/disrespectful comments about the ferry incident. Upsetting many netizens. Please screen capture any of those comments and send it to Sm’s legal department email: firstname.lastname@example.org (Please put all the screen caps into PDF format as JPG format cannot be handed in as evidence)
Here’s a bit of tidbit for you:
EXILING DISRESPECTFUL FANS AS BEING ANTI-FANS FOR BEING DISRESPECTFUL DOES NOT MAKE YOU ANY BETTER THAN THEY ARE. YOU ARE EXCUSING RESPONSIBILITY FROM THEM AND EXCUSING RESPONSIBILITY FROM YOUR FANDOM AS WHOLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS ASSOCIATED WITH IT.
EXO fans writing stupid shit are still EXO fans. Own the fact that your fandom is ignorant and oppressive and don’t try to deny that shit.
First of all antis are not fans, we are doing this because this is defamation not because we are excusing responsibilities. Among the human race, things like Ignorance, insensitivity will always be present. There will always be those kinds of people in everything, everywhere. And sure these kind of people exist in the EXO fandom too, do I agree with their actions? Am I proud of them? HELL NO. But you calling the WHOLE entire fandom ignorant and oppressive solely based on the negative things you see about us are narrow minded to begin with. Sure our fandom has flaws,we are very well aware of this, no one is denying this. Minority does not represent the majority. But because we always are so focused on the negative things in life all the positives are getting overlooked. No one is going to talk about all the nice things EXO fans did but once there are negative things, EVERYONE is on that shit. Why? just like the media because it creates buzz and arguments and talks. No one likes good boring stories.
Actually before joining this fandom all I heard was bad things about them, the online community in China call EXO fans brainless and everytime if an EXO fan does something dumb or bad, every single fandom jumps in and shoots at the entire fandom. I actually felt ashamed when I first joined this fandom because I thought to myself o god I am going to be called one of those brainless EXO fans. And during the times when other artists win award EXO were nominated in I thought to myself.. omfg the fans are going to act crazy now and start bashing. but Nope what did I see? I see many many posts congratulating the winning artist/s. And of course there were fans who were bitter and said shit but then I see many other EXO fans calling them out and criticizing them.
And when EXO finally wins something, what do I see? I see countless of posts from other fandoms saying stuff like they don’t deserve the awards, they are winning all these because they are in SM.. or because they are popular, they don’t even have real talents. And when EXO fans trying to defend EXO we are being called names.
Every single artist deserves every single award they Win because they all work so hard. I am so tired of seeing these negative comments towards the EXO fandom and EXO. These boys works so hard. For every single song they have to learn two versions, Chinese and Korean. For every single Choreo they have to learn the OT12 version, and then M and K version.
This post is getting longer than planned. I translated that tweet because I was disgusted by the actions of these antis, as they see this incident as a opportunity for them to get more hate towards the EXO fandom and EXO. Because we all know the idol pays for the actions of their fans.
I shall end this post now and you sweetie need to stop living inside the well and see things from a broader perspective.
Both of you make great points about EXO and the fandom in general, however the ferry accident has really nothing to do with EXO at all…. It is about these people that are experiencing a tragic, horrific loss…this discussion about anti’s’ should really be held in a more appropriate forum.
The focus needs to be on these families. Support them in EXO’s name if you want to, or find another way to do it.
I think we can all agree EXO is talented, and that every fandom has “those” people that we’d rather not claim.
I think we can all agree that acting the way these people are is grossly inappropriate and needs to be addressed (which, from what I have seen, will be by the South Korean authorities).
And finally, but most importantly, I think we can all agree that this atrocious loss of life goes WAY deeper than our connection to Korea through kpop, however, we can use this to support those families and individuals who are experiencing the worst kind of loss one can in this lifetime.
TL;DR: PLEASE stop making this atrocious accident about kpop. Let’s support the people who have been affected by this tragedy, and use our connection to South Korea in a positive and respectful way.
Funniest EXO “Overdose” tweet just became funnier because…
he wasn’t even into K-pop and started getting tweets but all them DP’s made him think they were Korean.
Then he started replying and even asking questions
And he was serious yo!
guess he just found his bias…
omfg this man
someone asked him if he would go gay for kris and…
…so what does that make sehun and chanyeol? (¬‿¬)
I feel bad for taemin and jonghyun..
like one person with mashed potatoes for a brain speaks for the exo fandom and suddenly we’re all disgusting monkey girls
so my dad’s friend was bartending and saw a guy put something in a girl’s drink so while the guy turned around he switched their drinks and watched the guy roofie himself.
I don’t really post things like this, but it’s quite sad how hundreds of teens around the age of us are missing or dying or even worse probably not even here on earth anymore and are resting in paradise. I’m very grateful that none of my relatives were on that ship, but it’s also possible that friends of my cousins could have been on that ship and I pray dearly for them. And to the class president who gave up his life jacket to his fellow classmate. God bless. Our world really needs people like you. I’m very sure your school and family would be proud of you. I love you all. Stay strong South Korea.
